Your Opportunity

Stantec is actively seeking experienced Project Managers for our Transportation teams located in Markham, Hamilton, London, Waterloo, and Ottawa. Our Transportation Business Line provides consulting and technical advisory services for public sector clients, including Metrolinx, the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO), and municipalities across Ontario.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Directing design staff, and managing multi-discipline project teams
  • Financial management of projects including budget forecasting, resource management, change-order management, and client invoicing
  • Developing proposals, budgets and schedules, and on-going business development and liaison with clients
  • Collaborating with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirements
  • Supporting the Stantec Quality Management System, and promoting Stantec’s Environmental Health & Safety program
  • Ensuring that the required functions of the project are satisfactorily performed
  • Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Building a strong culture of quality design and teamwork
  • Clients may be both internal and external to Stantec
  • Other duties as assigned/required

Qualifications

  • University or college degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in the field of transportation design and construction
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or LEL) is required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years demonstrated experience with project management or engineering design responsibilities
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and customer relationship skills
  • Experienced in project management on transportation projects
  • Experienced in report and proposal writing
  • Experienced in roadway, rail, or transit design
  • Experienced in AutoCAD, Microstation and InRoads or Civil 3D software
